Having some lead time is always good. But how much time do you actually need? Here's a simple guide based on our experience with hundreds of couples.
The Ideal Timeline
2–3 Months Before
First lesson: We cover basic steps and posture as a couple. You learn everything you need to get started and practice on your own.
1–2 Weeks After First Lesson
Second lesson: After practicing on your own, we take the next step. Now you get the complete dance — from start to finish, adapted to your music.
2–3 Weeks Before the Wedding
Third lesson (for Wedding Waltz Plus package): Now we polish the character and expression. The dance should feel natural and confident.
Optional: 1 Week Before
Refresher: Some couples take an extra lesson as a refresher. But if you've practiced regularly at home, you'll feel confident even without it.
How Many Lessons Do You Need?
Most couples choose our Wedding Waltz Package with 2 lessons. That's enough to feel confident and have a beautiful dance.
Basics in place. Good start.
2 lessonsComplete dance. Most popular.
3 lessonsMore polish. Extra confidence.
Why Space Between Lessons?
You need time to practice on your own between lessons. That's when your body really learns the movements and the dance starts to feel natural.
- 1–2 weeks between lesson 1 and 2 — gives you time to solidify the basics
- A little practice each day — 10–15 minutes is enough
- We record your dance — so you have a reference for practicing at home
